End Of School Party

The teens will be having and "end of school" celebration at the home of the Fayettes on Saturday, May 22nd. at 3:00 p.m. See Kirk for more information.

Chelsea Woods and Les Mulkey will be united in marriage on Saturday, May 29, at 6:00 p.m. at Knights of Columbus in Ponchatoula.

Fifth Sunday Singing

We will be hosting the area-wide Fifth Sunday Singing here at Westchurch on May 30th at 6:00. Come and join us for some great singing followed by a period of food and fellowship.

Vision For Haiti

Amy Hayes, the grand-daughter of Lucille Cross and Pat and George Hayes has embarked on a great project for which she could use our help. As many know, Jean Arnwine, Amy's cousin, was killed during the earthquake in Haiti while there on a mission trip. The purpose of her trip was to distribute eyeglasses in Haiti. Amy has decided that she wants to continue Jean's mission by gathering eyeglasses to be taken to Haiti in early May. Please bring any glasses that you are not using to the building and put in a box that is provided. Amy's goal for this project is 1000 pairs. This project has come to an end and the goal of 1000 pairs of glasses has been exceeded. Thanks, Amy, for inspiring all of us and letting us be a part of this great effort.

Wednesday Night Meal

This past Wednesday, May 5th, we had a dinner together here at the building. In honor of "Cinco de Mayo" we had a a great meal of Mexican food. Following the meal, we had a period of singing together. It was great fellowship and worship.

Golf Outing

While the golf outing scheduled for May 1 was rained out, the weather did not prevent several from going out to eat together at Catfish Charlie's. Thanks to Doris Evans for organizing this event.
